Taken by PluginIndia:
The Mini Cooper SE will be the first full-fledged electric model from the BMW Group to go on sale in India. We know that the BMW Group does not have a global long-term vision for electric cars. They are still sluggish by investing in hydrogen cars and are introducing compatible electric cars in small numbers.

As for hydrogen, we are really shocked by the nonsense I see in the comments of so many EV articles. These chair idiots do not understand the reality of hydrogen. Physics, mathematics and chemistry all point out that battery electric cars are far more efficient and superior than hydrogen cars. A battery requires more energy to run a hydrogen car than an electric car. And these idiots do not understand that 99.9% of hydrogen is formed from fossil fuels. There are also serious safety issues with hydrogen. In a car, we prefer to sit on top of safer LFP batteries than sitting on exploding hydrogen canisters.

This car has a slightly larger battery pack than the Tata Nexon EV. But since the car is small one can expect a distance of 250+ km on the highway. In the end we realize that this is BMW India’s PR training. Importing a paltry 30 units is pathetic. What can I say. If the parent company does not have EV vision, you can not blame BMW India.
